An immersive three-day event, the Spread and Scale Academy is designed to propel your project forwards, so it can scale across the NHS, social care, local authorities and private industry.
If you have something that works, we believe you have a moral obligation to spread it to as many people as possible who can benefit – and we’re here to help.
The next Spread and Scale Academy will take place in Cardiff on the 10th, 11th and 12th September with a virtual pre-session on 2nd September.

What to expect
Spread and Scale will accelerate the development of your team and project by helping you to:

- Become better organised and more cohesive as a team
- Create a robust 90-day plan for delivery
You will finish the event with renewed self-belief and belief in your work. Your team will be better equipped to drive transformative change with strong leadership, good practice and new models for large-scale change.
Following your attendance at the Academy, you will be invited to join the Spread and Scale Community of Practice.
The team at the Dragon’s Heart Institute will be on hand to support you with bespoke advice and guidance, every step of the way.

Applying for the next Academy
You will need a developed small scale project, a team of three to six people, and the motivation to unleash your project at scale. The event is suitable for SMEs and cross-sector teams focusing on anything from health, to innovation, to social justice.
The next Academy will take place in Cardiff on 10th – 12th September 2024.
Fees for the next Academy
Places on the Spread and Scale Academy cost £1500 per person.
Wales-based public sector and third sector organisations will receive a 40% discount.
Wales-based NHS and publicly-funded social care organisations will not be charged as their fees are covered by Welsh Government Intensive Learning Academy Funding.
